Pretzel Salad

  • 2 cups broken pretzels
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 10 oz cool whip
  • 1 large package of strawberry jello
  • 2-3 cups of frozen (or fresh) strawberries
  • 1 1/2 cup boiling water

Mix the first 3 ingredients and press into a 9×13 dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Pat pretzels down and cool completely. Cream the sugar and cream cheese with a mixer, then add cool whip and mix with a spoon. Spread on top of cooled pretzel layer. Mix water and jello; add strawberries. Pour gently over second layer. Congeal.

Great as a side dish or dessert.

(Chocolate lovers – you can drizzle a little chocolate syrup on this too)
